Xe847ProPlus is a substantial extension of the Standard-Xe847-image optimization contained in PhotoPerfect and PhotoPerfect Express, which optimizes images in the way they are perceived by the human eye.

Xe847ProPlus has a strong emphasis towards landscapes or for images taken in daylight. When an image should undergo several processing steps, this function should be applied first, i.e. on images fresh from the camera.
It is a perfect companion for i²e and PhotoPerfect. You can also use Xe847ProPlus with batch processing scripts to automatically optimize your pictures as well.

How does it work in detail
Xe847 is a very complex nonlinear professional-quality technology. It reduces color-shifts from ambient light or bad camera white balance, corrects contrast, brightness, gamma and gradation curves in a complex non-linear way, applies global and selective color corrections and makes blue sky, foliage and skin-tones look more natural.

Here is why we think Xe847 is of exceptional value:

1) One of the major innovations of Xe847 is the simulation of the so-called "color-constancy" of the human visual system. That means that up to a certain degree, we perceive the color of objects as constant, even if the ambient light or the illuminant changes.

2) "Technology" in general is supposed to be smart. Xe847 is smart enough to acknowledge when the original data should not be altered. It is no problem to develop algorithms that correct color shifts, the problem is recognizing if there is a color shift at all. The other big challenge is to simulate how the human eye-brain would see that original data.

3) Xe847 is very robust. The bigger challenge than applying such an algorithm to a single image without getting into problems is to apply the algorithm to "moving pictures”. Xe847 can be used to enhance video in the same way than photos.
