Define Stuck Pixels

Defective cells within the camera sensor lead to false colors at exactly the same point in every image. These so-called 'stuck pixels' can be stored in a list, which is then used for one-click correction with the help of the neighboring image points.

Within the Stuck Pixels dialog, click on the image at the point in question - the area is then shown greatly magnified. The working position is defined by clicking on the left hand magnification (large white cross-hair view). Points which have already been defined can be displayed by clicking on the list: a red cross = stuck pixel; a blue cross = correction pixel. The right hand magnification shows the effect of the corrections.

  New Stuck Pixel
Sets a new stuck pixel reference at the present working position.

New Correction Pixel
Defines a new correction pixel reference at the present working position. If several correction pixels are defined (recommended!), then the mean value is used.

Delete Correction Pixel
Deletes a correction pixel reference at the present working position.

Delete Stuck Pixel
Deletes a stuck pixel reference at the present working position and the associated correction pixel as well.

  Load
Loads a previously defined stuck pixel definition file.

Save
Stores the current list to a stuck pixel definition file. The file name given will appear in future for selection during correction operations. Thus you can establish a range of correction files for different resolutions and cameras.
